Experience some of the best that northeast India has to offer with our tour of Gangtok-Meghalaya, which surrounds the best destinations in both Sikkim & Meghalaya.

Your itinerary includes visiting Tsomgo Lake, Baba Mandir, & other famous attractions in Gangtok before proceeding to Guwahati, Shillong, Dawki, Mawlynnong, & Cherrapunjee, all of which feature waterfalls, caves, root bridges, & the Umngot River, one of the clearest rivers in the world.

This 9 day and 8 night trip is perfect for travelers seeking to explore both the region's natural wonders & its adventure.

Itinerary

Upon arrival at Bagdogra Airport or NJP Railway Station, you will be received & transferred to Gangtok.
On arrival, check in to your hotel.
The rest of the day is free for relaxation.
Overnight stay in Gangtok.

(Distance: 52 km one way | Timing: 7:30 AM to 2:30 PM)

After breakfast, proceed to Tsomgo Lake (12,000 ft), a beautiful high-altitude lake near the Indo-China border.
Enjoy snow activities & optional yak rides.
Later, visit Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir, a sacred shrine.
Return to the hotel by afternoon. The rest of the day is free.
Overnight stay in Gangtok.

Optional Tour - Visit Nathula Pass (14,000 ft) (closed on Mondays) with earlier permits at an additional cost.

After breakfast, enjoy a half-day Gangtok city tour (9:00 AM to 1:00 PM) covering: Banjhakri Falls, Gonjang Monastery, Government Institute of Cottage Industry (closed on Sundays & 2nd Saturdays)

Later, check out & drive to NJP Railway Station for your onward journey to Guwahati (overnight journey by train or bus at your own arrangement).

Upon arrival in Guwahati, you will be received and transferred to your hotel.
Visit the famous Kamakhya Temple, one of the most sacred temples in India, offering stunning views of the Brahmaputra River.
In the evening, enjoy an optional sunset cruise on the Brahmaputra River (additional cost).

After breakfast, drive to Shillong, known as the “Scotland of the East.”
On arrival, check in to your hotel.
Evening is free for relaxation.

After breakfast, proceed to Dawki, famous for the crystal-clear Umngot River near the Indo-Bangladesh border (a boat ride is available at your own cost).
Later, visit Mawlynnong Village, known as the cleanest village in Asia. Explore: Living Root Bridge (Riwai Village) and Balancing Rock.
Continue your journey to Cherrapunjee.
Overnight stay in Cherrapunjee.

After breakfast, explore Cherrapunjee, known for its waterfalls and caves. Visit: Mawkdok Valley Viewpoint, Nohkalikai Falls and Seven Sisters Falls
Later, drive back to Shillong. En route, visit Elephant Falls and Shillong Peak.
Check in to your hotel. Evening is free.
Overnight stay in Shillong.

After breakfast, enjoy a full-day Shillong city tour, covering - Don Bosco Museum, Ward’s Lake, Botanical Garden, Shillong Golf Course, Cathedral of Mary Help of Christians, Crinoline Falls, & Lady Hydari Park.
Evening is free for relaxation activities.

After breakfast, check out and drive back to Guwahati Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey.
